This cable fixes the problem commonly known as flexgate. This is where the cable is too short and tears over time causing backlight issues. This cable is slightly longer to stop this happening.
Replace the flex cable that powers the backlight and connects the LCD to the logic board of your 2016, 2017, 2018 or 2019 A1706 / A1707 / A1708 / A1989 / A1990 MacBook Pro Retina.

- Always track your screws to avoid putting back in the wrong place and damaging your device. You can draw a picture of your laptop and tape the screws to the right places or use a screw mat
- Always power down your device prior to working on it
- Make sure you always unplug the battery before attemping any component removal
- We recommend that you turn autoboot off during this repair so that the screen doens't auotmatically turn on during removal
- This part requires microsoldering skills to replace
